T Levels are a 2-year qualification that students can enrol on after GCSEs. They are an alternative to
A levels, apprenticeships and other 16-19 courses. The T Level is equivalent to 3 A Levels, and
focuses on focuses on vocational skills, helping students into skilled employment, higher study or
apprenticeships.
Structure of T Levels

Placements
Each T Level includes an in-depth industry placement that lasts at least 45 days. Students gain
valuable experience in the workplace; employers gain a preview of the new talent in their industry.
T Levels are worth UCAS points and are recognised by universities and other education providers,
which put students in a great position if they wish to continue studying after completing the T Level.

T Level Subject Areas:

UK Work Placement can support T level students in the following ways:
- Meet with students to discuss industry placements, expectations, and all elements relevant
to securing a suitable placement. - Secure local employers and brief business managers regarding what is expected. Highlight
the aims and objectives of the T Level qualification and how imperative the company’s role
is to its success. - Conduct relevant Health & Safety/Young Person’s Risk Assessment with each employer.
- Arrange interviews for students and accompany them if necessary.
- Assist with completing the required paperwork, including supporting in the design on the
placement so that students gain valuable experience that links back to their T Level syllabus
and core theory. - UKWP will manage the (minimum) 45 days placement and conduct a daily register of
attendance. This will include monitoring absences & providing feedback.
