Extended Work Experience

UK Work Placement Ltd. was established in January 2010 to foster meaningful connections between
employers and schools, colleges & universities.
We work with an array of students, with varying capabilities and are very aware that a conventional
classroom setting is not suited to all young people.
Our Alternative Provision is in the form of extended work experience and gives students between
the ages of 14-19 the opportunity to blend conventional education with vocational skills and will
help to increase each student’s employability when they leave school.
Work Placements can be 1, 2 or 3 days a week, term-time only, over the course of the academic
year. A register is conducted each day the student is on placement and regular feedback is provided
to the school.
Bringing students and local employers together assists in developing skills sought after by employers
and provides the host company with an opportunity to give back into the local community.
